The comprehensive vehicle inspection
is a full examination of the vehicle which not only
covers the safety aspects of the vehicle but also
identifies any cosmetic defects that may be costly
to repair or replace.
The comprehensive vehicle inspection covers the following:
Body exterior: Visual inspection noting any significant
and minor defects, electronic equipment is used to
identify any hidden accident damage that may have
been disguised, This will also identify any panels
that have been repaired or replaced. A comment is
made relating to all the defects identified and an
opinion is offered as to remedies required to reinstate
the panel work.
Underbody: All vehicles are examined on the underside,
They are jacked up using trolley jacks or full lifting
equipment which can usually be arranged in most areas
using our vehicle service & repair network.
Engine compartment: Fluid levels/condition. pipes&
hoses, drive belts, linkages, engine mounts, air conditioning
operation, engine noise & excess smoke.
Electrical; Lights, instruments , controls, wipers,
window operation and sunroof .
Interior: Comment on seats condition & security,
seat covers, seatbelts, carpets, headlining, dashboard,
airbags, and interior trim.
Front suspension/Underframe:
Springs, dampers, bushes, steering rack, wheel bearings,
hubs, sub frames, pipes, hoses, gaiters, front chassis
members & corrosion.
Rear suspension:
Springs/dampers ,wheel bearings, suspension arms,
pipes/hoses, subframes, chassis members & corrosion.
Transmission: A visual inspection of casings, mountings,
driveshafts, bearings & gaiters.
Exhaust & manifold : Comments on overall condition
& serviceability.
Fuel system: Fuel tank & pipes comments on overall
condition.
Brakes: External inspection visible of brake discs
& pads .
Tyres : Type of tyre fitted, suitability, measurements
of tread depths and comment on overall condition
Road test: Of approximately 10 miles which will give
an overall impression of the drivability of the vehicle
and will substantiate any defects noted during the
inspection. Comments will be made on engine performance,
brake performance, vehicle stability/handling, gearbox/clutch
operation and any warning lights illuminated
An overall assessment is made at the end of the report
with the engineers opinion as to the overall condition
of the vehicle.
