Vehicle Inspections:

These inspections are designed to give a prospective purchaser a clear idea as to the overall condition of the vehicle being considered prior to purchase thus allowing an informed judgement to be made prior to purchase. With the advance of technology, some vehicles are purchased via the internet and have not actually been viewed by the perspective purchaser.

We offer two types of vehicle examination: The basic vehicle inspection and the comprehensive vehicle inspection.

Basic

The basic vehicle Inspection is an exception report, which identifies any points that would compromise the safety of the vehicle but does not go into detail of all cosmetic defects which would be covered under the comprehensive inspection. This inspection is for clients who are seeking to purchase a vehicle with the confidence that the vehicle is question is as described and is safe to drive, despite possibly having a current MOT certificate.

Comprehensive

The comprehensive vehicle inspection is a full examination of the vehicle which not only covers the safety aspects of the vehicle but also identifies any cosmetic defects that may be costly to repair or replace.

The comprehensive vehicle inspection covers the following:

Body exterior: Visual inspection noting any significant and minor defects, electronic equipment is used to identify any hidden accident damage that may have been disguised, This will also identify any panels that have been repaired or replaced. A comment is made relating to all the defects identified and an opinion is offered as to remedies required to reinstate the panel work.

Underbody: All vehicles are examined on the underside, They are jacked up using trolley jacks or full lifting equipment which can usually be arranged in most areas using our vehicle service & repair network.

Mechanical Failure Inspections:

Many mechanical failure inspections tend to be warranty claims issues whereby a component has failed within its warranty period. These inspections are quite often instigated by the dealers who request and unbiased opinion of the likely cause of the failed component. We recommended that the faulty unit is removed from the vehicle and stripped with all the relevant parts laid out prior to our visit to enable an informed judgement to be made. All components are photographed and can be supplied with the report if required.

An unbiased mechanical report is compiled which will indicate the cause of the failure. A recommendation is made as to the remedy to reinstate the vehicle.

Accident damage Inspections.

These accident damage assessments are carried out for insurance companies and third party accident management companies but are also compiled for private individuals.

Our engineers will carry out a full assessment of the damage sustained, The hours that will be required to repair the vehicle will calculated either manually or using a computerized estimating system based on Thatcham time schedules. The damaged parts are identified and costed together with the paint/materials. The repair method can be agreed with the relevant vehicle repair centre.

A full engineers report is compiled giving an overview of the vehicle together with the overall cost of the repairs.

All vehicles are valued using the Glass's Guide scheme. In the case of a total loss the vehicle salvage is categorized accordingly.

Digital images are taken and forwarded in every case.

Vehicle Valuations:

Our vehicle valuations are designed to reflect the true market value of a particular vehicle taking into consideration vehicle type, age, condition, mileage, desirability and location within the UK.
The valuation service is usually used to resolve a dispute between a client and an insurance company as a result of a total loss.

Vehicle Manufacturers Service Audits:

These are carried out on behalf of motor manufacturers whereby an external quality control system of their dealerships is required.

The audit we carry out is to ensure the vehicle has been serviced in accordance with its manufacturers service schedule and all the correct procedures have been followed.

The audit ensures all the related necessary paperwork relating to the particular vehicle has been completed.

The vehicle is checked against the service sheet to ensure each component on has been correctly fitted and all the oils and fluids have been either changed/checked and the wheel nuts are to the correct torque setting if required.

Feedback is sent back to the manufacturer with the related comments as to the dealer performance on a regular basis.

Cost: By negotiation with the manufacturers relating to quantity required and time period.
